Packing the Product
Next, it will be time to start packing the product which has sold. You should always work hard to make sure that your goods are being packed securely, ensuring that they won’t face damage on the road. This can involve boxes, bags, and a range of other packing materials. Thankfully, there are loads of resources around the web which can teach you how to package products properly without too much effort.
Labeling It Up
Once you have the item packed up, it will be time to label it. Most ecommerce systems enable you to print labels directly from your order pages, and this makes it much easier to get this part of the process done. You just need a special printer and some mailers labels to be able to get started with it. Of course, this will take some work each day, but having your labels made for you will save a lot of time writing or copying the addresses you’re sending to.
Sending It Out
With everything packed up and labelled, the final part of this job will involve sending your parcel out. Some shipping companies will collect them from you, though most will expect you to drop them off by yourself. If this journey proves to be too long, it could be worth looking for another provider, as this will easily eat into your work time if you’re not careful.
Keeping the Customer up to Date
Finally, as the last part of the shipping job, it will be up to you to keep the customer up to date about the package. Most shipping companies provide tracking codes, and some will even be able to text updates to your customers. Of course, though, you will need to pass on the right details for this to work, and you need to make sure that you’re doing this in such a way that you don’t break any privacy laws.
