Eight Jobs You Can Do While You Travel
We’re lucky enough to now live in a time of remote working, wi-fi and access to the internet on every device. Imagine being in a position where you don’t have to work in a stuffy office while wearing a suit, but instead, you could take your job on the open road and see the world while you earn money.
Most people have the belief that to be able to travel while working means that you have unlimited funds and the luxury of kicking back, but it’s not true. You don’t need a bottomless bank account to travel the world, but you do need an understanding employer who trusts that you will be meeting your deadlines and do your job while you visit.
We’re in the age of the gig economy, which means that there is no better time than right now to head to Halterman’s RV Dealership and get yourself a moving house so that you can explore and earn in the same place. With this in mind, let’s look at eight jobs you could do while travelling the world.
- Freelance Writer. Whether you’re working copywriting for a company or you are simply writing about your travelling experiences, all you need is a computer and an internet connection, and you’re good to go.
- Travel Photographer. If you can take a stunning photo or two, you could sell them on your travels and make cash that way. You can promote yourself on social media, too, for free marketing.
- Flight Attendant. Okay, so you won’t need an RV for this one, but you can see the world while earning a good income as a flight attendant!
- Yoga Teacher. A favorite activity worldwide, you could use your experience or qualifications in teaching yoga wherever you go.
- English Teacher. Whether you can get some short-term gigs is one thing, but everywhere needs an English teacher. You can find work pretty much everywhere.
- Diving Instructor. Most destinations around the world offer diving schools as part of their vacation resort packages, so you’ll be able to get qualified and start teaching right away.
- Summer Camps. Do you love kids? There are plenty of summer camp options in the summer months in a lot of countries, but they’re not just outdoor activity camps. Some places are in unusual locations and can be for learning and specific sports, too.
- Tour Guide. In the places people want to visit, there will always be tour guides. You can get paid to take groups to different destinations and attractions and talk them up. You give yourself a chance to see the world while you work!
Driving around the country and living off the grid is one dream, but remaining connected to earn cash as you go? That would be a dream come true for a lot of people. The jobs listed above are only a few that can be done, but as long as you can work online and meet your deadlines, it’s time for a conversation with your boss!
