Here Are Some of the Many Reasons Why Your Site Isn’t Getting Traffic
There really are so many reasons as to why your site or even your blog isn’t getting any traffic. A lot of people think that there is a problem with their strategy, but this isn’t always the case. In fact, sometimes there may be a problem with your site. If you want to stop this from becoming an issue, then the only thing that you need to do is take a look below.
Your Content Isn’t Good Enough
Believe it or not, search engines such as Google are now very efficient when it comes to recognising great content. If your content isn’t good enough then your website probably isn’t high enough quality. Years ago, you could actually trick search engines by sending a couple of backlinks to your content and this would give you a very high ranking. This is not the case at all anymore. In fact, content that is not of any good quality probably won’t perform well in social media channels, let alone in terms of SEO. Good content will always satisfy any regulations that have been released since Penguin and Panda. It also has to be published on a website that has a very high number of indexed pages. If your website is new then it doesn’t matter if you have the best content around, because you will probably find it hard to rank high. Of course, these are just a few considerations that you need to think about when it comes to your content but if you take all of them into account then you should be able to really benefit. Duplicate content is also a big no, so use Duplichecker to be on the safe side.
You’re Targeting High-Competition Keywords
Another mistake that people make when it comes to SEO is trying to target high-competition keywords. There are only 10 places available on the first page of Google. Search engines are always trying to make sure that they display the pages from trusted websites first as this helps them to meet their ranking criteria. If you have a new website, then your site probably won’t be shown on the same page as a highly trusted site if you are both targeting the same keywords.
Your Site Is Slow
Page speed is almost certainly a factor when it comes to your business ranking. There have been various studies done to prove that this is the case. Users are far more likely to exit a site if they don’t have it load up in 5 seconds or less. Your site may be ranking highly and it may be getting traffic too, but you may find that your users quickly end up leaving the site and that they don’t like to wait for everything to load. This is normal, but if you want to stop it from happening then you need to put the work in and to also make sure that you are really putting in the effort to make sure that you are not having images that are too big or even that you are not focusing too much on video content.
