5 Things That Will Set Your Business Apart
All small business owners know that they are facing a lot of competition when they launch. In order to succeed, you need to find your niche and come up with ways to set your business apart from the rest, but how exactly do you do that? Here are some good ideas.
Offer Something They Don’t
This is a really obvious point, but it is one that is worth repeating; if you want to set your business apart from the competition, offer something they don’t. For example, if you run a gym, you could start offering meditation classes to set yourself apart or if, for example, you are a vape manufacturer, you could start using Blinc cartridges which will enable your vapes to better handle thick cannabis oils than the typical ccell models. Heck, you could just even offer your products in a wider range of colors than the competition – whatever you do just make sure you have more to offer than everyone else in your niche.
Add an Extra Feature
Kind of related to the above, offering an extra feature to your product or service is another great way to set yourself apart. This could be as simple as giving away a free vase with your flower bouquets or as complicated as adding a brand new component completely – again it doesn’t matter as long as you are doing something different that will allow you to stand out, and make the customer happy.
Personalize Your Products
This won’t work for every niche, but if you have a product that can be easily personalized, offering the option for the customer to do so could be a good way to set your business apart from others who do not offer that option.
Be More Ethical
Right now, a really effective way of setting your business apart from the rest, and picking up more customers as a result, is to make more ethical choices. From ensuring your office is more eco-friendly to choosing sustainable product components, and cruelty-free ingredients, anything you can do to make your business more ethical will not only set you apart, but give you lots of positive PR. Today, more than ever people care about the companies they use being ethical in a variety of ways, so if you make an effort, you could very quell corner, at least, the ethical market of your niche, which would be no bad thing.
Make It Easier to Purchase
Something as simple as making your website easier to navigate or your shipping times shorter can be very effective at setting you apart, especially if you operate online. People want to be able to buy and receive things quickly, so if you can make this happen where the competition can’t, you’re on to a winner.
It’s not always easy to set your business apart from the competition, but it is always worth ding because it will increase your chances of grabbing a bigger share of the market, providing you set it apart for all of the right reasons, of course, and the above will help you with that.
